A friendship that began in 1994 at the Roma Tre School of Architecture, shared as a place of life and common experiences, quickly grew into a collaboration among friends who later founded this studio. Carlo Antonio Fayer, Fabio Martellino, Alessandro Muccio, and Luca Paolini, while still students, worked together on real projects to support other professionals. This early experience allowed them to gain confidence in handling a variety of tasks, while also developing their individual strengths and working together as a team.
M28studio, founded by the same group, has been active for nearly 20 years, primarily working with private clients in Rome and other Italian cities. The studio’s growth has followed the founding partners’ original vision, expanding to offer a broad range of technical services. It has handled complete projects, from feasibility studies and initial due diligence to urban planning, architectural design, building permits, executive design, and construction management.
The studio provides services in various areas:
– Design of residential, sports, commercial, student housing, and office buildings
– Urban regeneration and public space redesign
– Urban planning and public works projects
– Landscape design
– Interior design
– Construction management
– Real estate due diligence and consultancy
Today, M28studio is led by founders and senior architects Carlo Antonio Fayer and Luca Paolini, who manage a team of architects and trusted consultants for structures and systems. The studio, based in Rome, draws inspiration from the city and its resilience. After spending ten years in Trastevere, M28studio moved in 2015 to the Monti district, where it opened a new, larger office in a charming Roman alley.
